Norman Chamber of Commerce

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Operations

Duties will include but are not limited to: 


  • e-Minder emails (once/month journal version)


  • Impact Norman advocacy email
  • Boyd Street magazine ad


  • Membership Directory/Magazine
  • Norman Street Map

On Going

  • Manage and update all social media platforms
    • Content/design
    • Add dates/events
    • Add articles
    • Film, edit, and upload videos
    • Change information on “static” pages as needed
  • Manage website platform
    • Fresh content, event calendar, and copywriting 
  • eBlasts emails
  • Coordinate photography at events
  • Advertising Rates & Information in coordination with TRC
  • Ensure all Chamber events include full TRC contract deliverables
  • App maintenance
  • Press releases and media communications
  • Content on lobby monitors
  • Create advertisements, flyers, brochures, programs, logos, invitations signage, etc. for all events and programs
  • Partner with other local organizations to promote business and community initiatives 
  • Brand management 

Board of Director Meetings

  • Furnish updated report and information for activity reports to board
  • Attend and participate in board meetings


  • Events Committee – meets as needed
  • Other committee works directed by the President/CEO, SRVP of Operations, and Board Chair


Coordinate and execute all aspects of major events for the Chamber

  • Annual Banquet – Including but not limited to; coordinate invites, entertainment, backstage, volunteer efforts, program, setup, and staff
  • Annual Auction – Including but not limited to; coordinate invites, donation items, backstage, volunteer efforts, program, set up, and staff

Chamber Liaison to

  • Campus Corner Merchants Association

Preferred experience in graphic design, social media, event management, copy writing, web design and video editing.

Preferred proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office.

Other activities as directed by the President/CEO, the Senior VP of Operations, and/or the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
