WRC’s gala is our largest fundraising event held every year to raise awareness about the effects of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking on individuals, families, and the community. Join us for a cocktail hour, dinner, auction, keynote speech, and musical performance. This year’s theme is The Next Chapter and will feature a keynote speech and musical performance by Demetria McKinney. Together we will celebrate individuals prevailing against setbacks and moving forward into the next chapter of their lives. McKinney has faced her own setbacks in life but chose to recognize that they were just part of her story and not the full piece. In addition to being an actor and singer, McKinney spends time in the women’s empowerment space, and speaks out about healthy relationships, sexual abuse, and homelessness.
